Christmas Season

Christmas Season (3)

Morning All! I feel a bit like a mad headless chicken at the moment, it’s a busy busy week and I’m still getting over this nasty virus.

We had a nativity with Miss 3 yesterday, one with Mr 6 today, all the usual run up to Christmas things and we are having our bedroom refitted! The upstairs of the house is a mess, with boxes and stuff everywhere and us and the kids crammed into two rooms instead of three. It’ll be worth it though when the bedroom looks all pretty Smile

Anyhoo, it’s time for another challenge over at the Crafty Sentiments Designs Challenge Blog. This time we have a fabulous theme of   ‘Anything Goes’!

Here is my card using the sweet Christmas Seasons:

Christmas Season (2)

And dare I say I think I’ve had enough of making Christmas cards now….I enjoy it but  think it’s too much pf a good thing, if you know what I mean!

Christmas Season (1)

I made my own candy cane background with a scoring board and painting in the stripes with some gesso.

Frosty Penguins

Frosty Penguins (4)

Hello all and happy Friday! It’s time for a brand new challenge over at the Polkadoodles Challenge Blog and even though it’s Anything Goes the team are showing Blue creations.

I've gone clean and simple for my card today. I have layered the Frosty Penguins image and sentiment directly over a backing paper from the Frosted Winter Octavia Digital Download and printed onto my alcohol marker card.

Frosty Penguins (3)

I have coloured the image and then added shading around the image for a little depth.

Frosty Penguins (1)

And just a tough of gesso round the feet to look like snow.

Little Angel

Little Angel (1)

Evening all. As it’s the beginning of a new month we have a new challenge over at the All Dressed Up FB Group. Our theme for the month is Sparkle…….and boy was this one hard to photograph.

And I’ve made a Christmas Card using Little Angel:

Little Angel (3)

I am still battling with this awful cold virus so all my recent makes have been clean and simple. Plus it’s good to have some flat cards for posting.

Little Angel (5)

And I managed to get the sparkle to show in at least one of the photos.

Skater Wryn

Skater Wryn (4)

Morning all! It’s Tiddly Tuesday and over at the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog we want to see any Tiddly makes with the theme of ‘Frosty Feeling’!

I was quite poorly at the weekend. It takes a lot to stop me in my tracks but this bug sure has. Even yesterday I didn't feel up to getting in the craft room. So armed with my Copics, the sofa, a fleecy blanket and the TV I set about creating a card just from colouring.

This is Skater Wryn:

Skater Wryn (2)

I knew the scene I wanted to create but wasn't quite sure where to start, so I consulted Mr Google to have a look at pictures of frozen lakes, lightly sketched the background in pencil and then set to work with my Copics.

I used the night sky technique from one of the earlier Kit & Clowder Monthly classes, but the rest I attempted myself. And I have to say I’m really proud of myself, because about halfway through I thought it looked a mess, but as Alyce tells us, I kept going and I think it looks quite good.

Chilly in Love

Chilly in Love (3)

Afternoon all! I’m a little later than planned as I have woken up with the most awful head cold Sad smile

Over at A Gem of a Challenge we have a new challenge and it’s a fabulous theme of ‘Snowmen’ and it’s also the start of a new challenge at at The Sketchy Challenges, where the theme is ‘Winter’. S a perfect opportunity to combine the two.

I have used Chilly in Love for today’s make…..another Christmas card.

Chilly in Love (2)

A little larger than normal as it’s for my Mum and Dad. Not to fancy though as my Mum doesn’t like them too busy.
